We all love our pets, and we live among the last stronghold population of Western Ringtail Possums in the world. At this workshop you will be presented with the real dilemmas associated with pet ownership in the Geographe region. Please join us in helping to identify:

  • How we (pet owners, pets and wildlife) can coexist without detrimental impact to the Western Ringtail Possum or our pet’s well-being?
  • Which domestic pet or pets should we focus on in this project?
  • What wildlife friendly actions can be encouraged in the wider community  in order to reduce predation of possums and other wildlife by domestic pets, and how? We’re seeking involvement from both pet and wildlife lovers to assist in developing ideas for the project. All interested members of the community are invited. Representation from organisations, as well as individuals is welcomed. With a diverse range of community input, this progressive behaviour change project has the capacity to create a benchmark for fostering responsible pet ownership in the Geographe community into the future.

If you’re interested in participating in this workshop, please RSVP by Wednesday 7th March HERE
