Double the life expectancy of your cat!

Kitty Cat School is coming to Busselton next month for all cat owners wanting to give their cat a healthy, happy and enriched life. Similar to puppy school, Kitty Cat School connects cat owners with expert cat behaviourists and local vets to provide the best available cat care advice.

Cat owners are encouraged to attend this free half day event for advice on cat health and nutrition, behavioural issues, microchipping and de-sexing laws, containment solutions and tips on how to make your cat live longer.

“There are a lot of cats that die young from preventable problems,” said local vet, Richard Lucas from Busselton Vet Hospital.

“Responsible cat owners can potentially double the life expectancy of their cat.”

GeoCatch is running the event to promote responsible pet ownership.

“The event will raise awareness about the dangers cats face daily from motor vehicles, disease and other cats in the neighbourhood, and will provide achievable solutions on how to keep vet bills to a minimum,” says GeoCatch Officer, Nicole Lincoln.

Busselton Vet Hospital, Vasse Vets, SAFE, Animal behaviourist Dr Kate Lindsay, Katzone and City of Busselton have teamed up with GeoCatch to support cat owners to keep their cats happy and safe.

To learn more on how you can double the life expectancy of your cat, register for Kitty Cat School: Saturday 7 November, from 1:00pm to 3.30pm. Registrations essential at geocatch.asn.au or call 9781 0111.

This project is supported by the South West Catchments Council, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
