Geographe Rabbit Control Program (Calicivirus K5) Information Workshop

Do you have a rabbit problem on your property?

This summer, GeoCatch is teaming up with Leschenault Biosecurity Group (LBG) to deliver a rabbit control program to landholders within the Geographe catchment area. While K5 calicivirus is not a silver bullet, it can provide a significant population knockdown as a precursor to follow-up control measures.

We aim to commence the knockdown program in early December 2026.

Prior to the program, GeoCatch and LBG is hosting a rabbit control workshop on Wednesday 11th November 5:30pm to 7pm. We will provide more information about the Calicivirus release program and everything you need to know to participate.

We highly recommend you attend this workshop if you intend on taking part in the program.

Registration essential!

Light supper provided on arrival.

Note: The Rabbit Control Program is part of the Protecting Broadwater Wetlands from Feral Animals project and participant numbers are limited.  As the program aims to reduce feral animal impacts on the ecologically significant Broadwater wetlands, priority will be given to properties in closer proximity to these areas to help maximise environmental outcomes.

This project is supported by funding from the Western Australian Government’s State NRM Program.
