Join GeoCatch and the Geographe Community Landcare Nursery (GCLN) for a practical workshop designed to help landholders plan successful stream restoration projects for 2027. Learn the key steps in developing your project, from assessing your site conditions, to selecting the right plants for your location and estimating planting requirements.
Workshop topics include project planning, funding and support opportunities, site assessment, plant selection, restoration design, and planting density guidelines. Rod Cary (GCLN) and Michelle Priest (GeoCatch) will share practical advice to help you create a restoration plan that is achievable, effective, and suited to your site.
The workshop will conclude with a visit to a nearby stream restoration site, where participants will see a successful project 5 years after planting. Explore what has worked well, discuss lessons learned, and gain inspiration and ideas for your own restoration project.
