What Country Is Telling Us: A Walk & Talk on Country with Undalup Association’s Zac Webb, hosted by GeoCatch
Join us for a guided walk and conversation on Country as we explore the subtle signs that mark the changing seasons and what they can teach us about the landscape around us.
For thousands of years, Traditional Custodians have observed seasonal change by watching the land, plants, animals and waterways. Through this interactive session with Zac Webb, participants will learn how to notice the indicators that signal shifts in season, understand the relationship between climate and landscape health, and explore how these observations can inform land management today.
Together, we’ll discuss seasonal indicators, dry-season signals, the role of native plants in understanding seasonal cycles, and what healthy soils and landscapes can tell us about the condition of Country. This is an opportunity to connect cultural knowledge with practical observations of the natural environment, gaining insights that are relevant for farmers and landholders interested in caring for Country.
The session begins with a talk at the hall before moving into the adjacent reserve for a guided walk. Morning tea provided.
