Taking care of our natural environment
Why Plant Trees?
Planting trees isn’t just about greenery—it’s about restoring precious natural habitat for our wildlife and growing a more connected community.
Trees provide homes and food for birds, insects, and other native animals. By planting the right species, we help protect biodiversity and keep our local ecosystems thriving.
Tree planting events are a great way to connect with neighbours, schools, and local groups. They foster a sense of pride and ownership in our shared environment.
Volunteering at a tree planting day is also a lot of fun! It’s good for our bodies and minds and every tree planted today is a gift to tomorrow. It’s a simple, lasting way to show we care about our community’s future.

Tree planting for Schools
Tree planting can be incorporated into a range of learning programs and school projects. We can help your school create an ongoing project to protect native vegetation.
We work with a range of schools and other partners to tailor tree planting activities to align with desired learning outcomes. This may include arts and culture, mindfulness, health and well-being, physical activity, gardening, biology and conservation, among others.

National Tree Day
National Tree Day and Schools Tree Day occur every year in July across Australia. Schools Tree Day is a great way to inspire students to learn about the local environment while playing an active role in the community.
We work with our partners to support schools get involved in Schools Tree Day. This includes providing an overview of why planting trees is important and teaching students how to correctly plant a seedling. We also provide some of the equipment required and assist in sourcing appropriate local species.
Arbor Day is celebrated in many countries and celebrates the importance of trees. This is recognised on June 20 in Australia, and marks a good time to plant trees.
Future generations creating future habitat
Peppies for Possums

We provide students with an overview of Western Ringtail Possum conservation and through our planting activities, teach them how to correctly plant a Peppermint seedling. Sites for planting can be on school grounds, private property or local reserves.
The leaves of Peppermint trees are the primary food source for Western Ringtail Possums. By planting Peppies for Possums, you can future-proof our local environment and provide future habitat for these beloved marsupials.
