GeoCatch works with schools within the catchment through its Sustainable Schools Program. When a school joins the program our coordinator works with teachers, students and school administration staff to ensure all school decision making considers environmental, social and economic consequences. The coordinator also assists the school to implement a collaboratively developed vision and its associated values across the whole school.

The program assists schools in the following ways:

  • professional development opportunities for teachers
  • assistance in obtaining funding for sustainability activities
  • assistance to establish school sustainability committees
  • provision of sustainability resources for schools
  • advice and technical support for monitoring and education programs
  • provision of in-class and field support to groups with a commitment to long-term education & on-ground action
  • support for local on-ground rehabilitation partnership projects

If you would like to have your school become involved in GeoCatch’s Sustainable Schools Program please contact us on 9781 0111.

GeoCatch also provides environmental education assistance to schools in the form of environmental resources and assistance with environmental incursions and excursion. Contact GeoCatch for more information.
