Step beyond the garden gate and be inspired at GeoCatch’s first Bay OK Native Open Gardens weekend in October this year.
To be held on Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th October 2026, the event will feature stunning examples of local native gardens across Busselton and Dunsborough, generously opened by passionate community members.
In addition to exploring behind the garden gate and hearing insights from the host gardener, the weekend will offer guided bushland walks, garden workshops for all skill levels and a unique verge gardens self-drive to spark ideas for your own street.
This event is a celebration of how native gardening supports biodiversity, providing vital habitat for birds, pollinators and other wildlife.
Learn how choosing native plants can help you create a water-wise, low-maintenance garden that thrives in our climate while also reducing fertiliser run-off into our waterways and Geographe Bay.
GeoCatch is now looking for host gardens in Busselton and Dunsborough. Do you have a beautiful native garden or native verge garden that you would like to share with your local community?
You may also have wildlife-friendly features in your garden such as bird baths, bee hotels, possum boxes or catios and we would love to hear from you!
If you are interested in opening your garden for this event, please contact Lisa Massey by 31st July via 0491 069 078 or lisa.massey@geocatch.asn.au to discuss further and organise a garden visit.
Tickets will go on sale and a full program will be released in August.
This event is generously supported by Water Corporation and the City of Busselton and is a part of Healthy Estuaries WA and Revitalising Geographe Waterways, State Government programs.
