In 2026, GeoCatch will partner with the Mulloon Institute to deliver a hands-on Rehydrating Farm Landscapes Program, designed to help landholders better understand and manage water movement across their properties.
Whether it’s water running off your paddocks after heavy rain, or areas that flood in winter and turn bone dry in summer, this program will include a range of activities throughout the year, to build the capacity of landholders to plan, design and undertake Landscape Rehydration projects using low-risk, nature-based solutions for drought resilience
The first event of this program is ‘Introducing Farm Hydrology Field Day’.
Join Mulloon Institute Hydrologist, Lance Mudgeway, as he facilitates this on-farm field day, tailored specifically for landholders wanting to understand landscape processes, the critical role of water cycling, and how to restore degraded land with hydrology.
The Introductory Field Day, is the foundation event for landholders wanting to continue with the 2-day Bootcamp, One-on-One Mentoring sessions, and the culmination event, ‘Boots on Ground’ Project Day. Participants will learn how to read their land, identify erosion risks, and implement strategies to slow, spread, and sink water, boosting productivity while improving environmental outcomes. It’s a great opportunity for farmers and land managers to build resilience into their landscapes and support long-term sustainability.
